The Library Service offers

  • Large selection of fiction and non-fiction books to borrow
  • PCs with free access to the Internet, e-mail, scanning facilities, word-processing and other Office packages

  • Local history information and photographs
  • Councillors’ ward surgeries - First Saturday of every month 10-11am
  • Bookable ICT training sessions for beginners
  • Coffee morning every Wednesday 10am - 12noon
  • Children's activities
  • Regular Rhymetime for under 5s every Friday morning at 10am
  • Mini Meerkats: stories, rhymes and activities for under 5s every Tuesday afternoon 2.15pm

Crawcrook Library is a distinctive modern gabled building with large windows and green metalworking. It is on the main road (B6317) that runs through Crawcrook Village. Travelling from Ryton, it is located on the right before the main shopping centre
