The Land of Oak and Iron

16 May 2017

An exciting project offering plenty of opportunities to learn about the natural, industrial and cultural heritage of the Land of Oak & Iron, from archaeology digs along ancient waggonways to free courses to learn about tufa or grass snakes, a fish pass on the River Derwent and opportunities to have a go at traditional woodland management techniques, there’s something for everyone with the Land of Oak & Iron. Find out more about what this exciting Landscape Partnership is aiming to achieve over the next three years with Kath Marshall-Ivens, Project Community Engagement Officer.
