1 November - 30 November 2018

Thursday 1 November - Friday 30th November

Gateshead Central Library

River of Remembrance was created by Gateshead craft groups and artist Susannah Pickering. Hundreds of members of the public also donated knitted poppies. The piece comprises of 1700 hand-knitted poppies, one to commemorate each of the Gateshead men who gave their lives. Also on display at the Central Library will be the Roll of Honour, listing the men from Gateshead who gave their lives in Europe. Use our virtual book to look through the roll for the name of a relative.
