Local History Month 2017

1 May - 31 May 2017

Local History Month happens every year for the month of May giving you a chance to discover more about the history of your village, town and region.

As always there are plenty of walks, talks and displays to enjoy this year. We
also hope you will delve a little deeper and investigate your own history
with activities like our house detective workshops and family history
surgeries.

Why not visit Gateshead Local Studies at the Central Library for our informal drop-ins throughout May. Here we will introduce you to the resources you need to get started on your local or family history journey.
